Bridget C. Kane

Vice President of Grants Administration

Bridget C. Kane is an associate with Penn Strategies. Her primary responsibilities are writing, research, and community outreach.

A graduate of the University of Maryland with a master’s degree in sustainable development and conservation biology, she also earned both a B.S. degree in wildlife ecology and conservation and a B.A. degree in anthropology from the University of Florida.

Prior to joining Penn Strategies, Kane held various positions at the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, managing the non-profit’s outreach and education efforts, fundraising activities, and volunteer programs. She also was very involved with the partnership’s River Town program, which assists communities with identifying recreational, historic, cultural, and economic revitalization and development projects.

Previously, Kane held various roles with the Potomac Conservancy, where she managed the River Center at Lockhouse 8 along the C&O Canal, researched stormwater issues, monitored conservation easements, and assisted with development activities. She also served in the Peace Corps in Madagascar, where she worked on sustainable agriculture projects and community development as well as environmental outreach and education initiatives.

Kane currently serves as an objective, third-party reviewer for the Wildlife Habitat Council’s Conservation Certification program, which provides recognition for meaningful wildlife habitat management and conservation education programs. She also serves as Special Projects Coordinator for the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy, where she assists with membership and development programs and other special projects.

Kane volunteers with the Heart of Williamsport, the YMCA, the YWCA, and various other community organizations. She is a 2022 YWCA Northcentral PA Women of Excellence nominee in the Advocacy category.
